Flash player standalone settings help

I'm on a mac, but I cannot access the flash projector (flash player standalone) global settings- whenever I right click flash projector while it's running a program and click global settings I am sent to the browser macromedia panel, and not the system preferences global settings panel. I am using OSX Mavericks and it was fine before I updated. I also cannot find flash in my system preferences. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks a lot in advance!

It depends on the browser.  Chrome doesn't use the system settings.  It's completely encapsulated, so it's going to take you to the macromedia pages, which control those preferences in the context of Chrome.

For NPAPI browsers, you can go to Apple (in the upper left of the screen) > System Preferences > Flash Player directly, but the context menu *should* take you there automatically.

For the stand-alone projector, either works.  They both write to the same config file (which is shared by the NPAPI plugin).  I'm not sure what the deal with that behavior change was, though.  I'll have to ask around.

Thanks for your reply but the problem is that I cannot find flash settings in system preferences. Does this have to do with flash being sandboxed in mavericks?
