Flash player starting problems

Since the last adobe flash player update 14.0.0.179, the window where the flash game or video is supposed to be has no... window, it's simply a white screen (or whatever the web pages background is) as if there is nothing there. This is not a flash plugin crash, it doesn't even start to run.

I'm using Firefox and IE, on Windows XP, this problem has been persisting on this specific computer for a few days now, other computers however are not affected by this.@

Tried reinstalling, installing an older version, neither worked

I've tried using another flash player and disabling this plugin, it worked fine, but I kinda need adobe flash player

I've tried clearing the flash player cache and browsing data

cannot disable flash player hardware acceleration, because that requires a flash window to right-click on

help

    Correct answer

I updated the display drivers, but it did not help, the problem lies somewhere else

I performed a system recovery for about 1 week ago, which is before the update was installed

    Flash player is working now

I'm gonna pause the automatic updates on it, the new update version seems to be buggy

I tried updating it again and it got bugged again, another system recovery fixed it though

It's definitely something in the updated version

Try if updating your graphics driver helps: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765
