Flash player update

Why does flash player update force install google chrome without my permission and without giving me the opportunity to decline the install?  Chrome does not work on my system and just consumes valuable resources.  I'd rather not use adobe products if I have to keep removing chrome after every flash player update.

Check box for Google Chrome is checked by default.  I missed it on the fiirst look.

Tried to insert a picture, but could not get it to happen.

Can you post a screenshot of that?  Dozens of other people have posted similar complaints; yet nobody is providing anything that could lead to a solution.
