Flash Player update

Question

I received an update notification on flash player and activated the download. It appears it was a company, who is identifying themselves as MacAfee, masquarading

under the Flash Player moniker. It loads a Mac Cleaner and to "fix" the issue with the program coming up and commandeering the computer....they want $299.95. The call center is operating near New Delhi. They insist they are part of MacAfee. Beware.

Unfortunately you were tricked into downloading a malicious Flash Player installer as the Mac Flash Player installer does not contain any third party software.

If you still have the malicious installer file, right-click on it and select Get Info. In the Info dialog window, expand the More info section. This should display the URL from where the file was downloaded from. You can report this URL directly to phishing@adobe.com
