Flash player update not working on MAC 10.6.8

New Adobe Flash loads correctly, says it worked but I can't find the flash player and I keep getting the message that I need to load the udpated player in Safari.  I uninstalled the old flash player, restarted the computer and downloaded several times, but it still does not recognize the new player.  Where is it on my MAC?

Flash Player is just a plug-in in Safari.  You won't find it in the Applications folder.  Could you verify that plug-ins are enabled in the security tab of Safari's preferences dialog?

If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated, I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled Flash Player 9.#.# > Installed Flash Player 10.#.# > Flash movies play fine in internet browsers, but I no longer have a Flash Player App on my Harddrive. Kinda sucks to have to open Full Flash to view my SWF files.

You can grab the projector version of the Player here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Thank you, Chris.  I contacted Apple over the weekend and the correction was exactly as you stated...I didn't have plug-ins enable in security.   I had deselected it at one point when I was downloading and never rechecked it.  Thanks for your help.
