Flash Player Update Notices
Dear Forum,
I am using a MacBook Pro with macOS Sierra and my browser is Firefox V. 49. My Adobe Flash Player version is Adobe Flash Player - Shockwave Flash 23.0 r 0
V. 23.0.0.185.
I regularly check (every 2-3days) that my Adobe Flash Player is up to date. I do this using Firefox Tools- Add-ons and then check that all plug-ins are up to date. If Flash Player is vulnerable, I immediately use the Adobe Flash dmg to update my Flash Player.
Following my update to the latest version of Shockwave Flash, I start receiving Adobe Notifications that my Flash Player is out of date. These notifications interrupt my work 6 to 10 times per day.
I do not understand why Adobe Flash Player is sending me these messages or how to make them stop. I have not attempted to allow another update using the notice and dmg if my Flash Player is up to date. I also select that I wish to receive notices before updating. I do not allow automatic updates and I have never selected that I not be sent any notifications from Adobe Flash Player. I always choose the middle option.
Do you have any suggestions regarding how I can make these annoying notifications stop? Any ideas would be most appreciated.
