Flash Player update vs upgrade

Hi,

Apologies for what may seem like a noob question.

I know that in most instances the Adobe autoupdates for various apps will silently install an update.

What I would like to know is will this also silently autoupgrade.  That is will it install version 26 over 25?

auto-update and auto-upgrade are the same thing. Version 26 will install over version 25, will install over version 24, etc.

    Cheers,

    I've always taken update to be incremental, whereas upgrade is a new version of the software.
    Thus 25.0.0.163 to 25.0.0.171 was an update but 25 to 26 is an upgrade.

    Happy to understand that the Adobe silent install will cover both.
