flash player upgrade

I am trying to access a link that uses adobe flash player. It is telling me that I need to upgrade my adobe flash player. I couldn't figure out how to do that, so I re-install adobe flash player. It is still telling me I need to upgrade my adobe flash player. How do I upgrade the adobe flash and/or fix this?

You most likely need to enable Flash in the browser, as most browser vendors disable it by default. Flash Player Help contains links to instructions to enable Flash in the various browsers. If this doesn't work, provide the following information:

operating system, including version
browser, including version
direct link to content that is not working
