Flash Player Virus?

I am using  macOS Sierra, version 10.12.3.  I just received a screen notice from Adobe that said my Flash Player is out of date and I need to update.  I tried to do it but it didn't seem to be working, then put me into a porn site.  Does anyone know if this is going around, and what should I do about checking for viruses?

There are some sites that have FALSE notices that look like the real thing, but are designed to infect your computer

The ONLY place to update Flash Player is at Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions

Checking for a virus or other infection is something you do with your anti-virus program... I use Norton
