Flash Player Webcam Playback Jerky/Choppy

Has anyone noticed that the Flash Player webcam playback is jerky/choppy, even when connected to a relatively fast internet connection? See sites such as chat roulette or vyou.com as examples. I'm using Flash Player 11.0.1.152 Debugger in Google Chrome. Also, this seemed to only happen since Adobe made their security update to the webcam settings panel.

We made some bug fixes for webcam support in last Friday's release (11.1.102.55) so it's helpful if you can check with that version and see if it still show same issue.

Sorry, I didn't see the problem you mentioned.

I used gtalk chat with my built-in web camera. Are you using a USB webcam? Would you mind open a bug on bugbase.adobe.com against flash player with following information?

1. Detailed reproducing steps.

2. Your hardware information, including webcam type.

3. Is it happening to all other browsers or Chrome Only?

I am using Plug-in version 10.3.183.10 and that has jerky playback even when off-line.

I am not upgrading to 11 as one can see people are having soooo many problems - security is a real issue with this Adobe Rubbish-Player. One has to make sure to disable the normal setting of allowing any site to store data locally. I found my machine was slowing to a crawl and it was all those miscreants trying to dial home just like Adobe does (that's the reason for the jerky thing ... the Plugin trying to talk to Adobe !)
