Flash Player will not work in Ubuntu 14.04

I cannot get flash neither to work, update, or install in either Chrome or Firefox. AMD 4.0 quad core, 8GB RAM, ASUS Sabertooth MoBo, ASUS 2GB pci-e video, and an eight TB mirrored RAID array. I know I'm above minimal hardware requirements. I have 25+ years of writing code, What is wrong on your end, ADOBE?

This is not my first problem with ADOBE - Linux compatability, but Ch#^*t sake's everyone's using the same base programming code, when building their OS's. Have a small team write a multi-platform all-in-one program. Oh yeah, that's how you make a profit. selling support to idiots.
