Question

Flash player won't play a special show on a special website

Hello!

I am having very weird issues with flash player. I was streaming a show on a US website for month and it worked fine. But all of the sudden i cannot watch that one show anymore, while all the other shows offered by that site are still working fine. This happens only with google chrome. IE and Firefox are doing ok. I already cleaned up the cache and history and completely uninstalled and reinstalled google chrome. Problem still exists.

I updated Flash to the latest version and deleted the history here as well. I have no idea what is going on here. The only thing i noticed is that i can sometimes see a white page where the player should load saying something like "your flashplayer is out of date" while i am sure that the latest version is running.

Can you help me fix this? I use google chrome only to watch my shows online and i don't really wanna change that.

Thanks.

    OS = Windows 7 Ultimate SP1

    Google Chrome 57.0.2987.133

    Flash Player Version 25.0.0.148

    Website: The Bold and The Beautiful - CBS.com (every video here results in flash player not loading? When ever i right click in that video area, information about flash player won't show)

    This show (like all the others) runs fine: 2 Broke Girls - CBS.com .

    Tonight i installed a couple of other browser to run some more tests. Opera shows the same problem. Avant browser shows the same problem if i chose to run it in chrome mode. If i use firefox or IE mode the videos will play.

    On my laptop i can watch every show in every browser. The problem is located on this computer .I uploaded a video of this behaviour. You can watch it here:

    Thanks for your investigation.

    It's not clear to me that the video you are attempting to view is available in Flash.  It appears to only be available in HTML5 video. By default Chrome displays video in HTML5 where available.  Users' can bypass this in chrome://flags.  I have done this and configured Flash to always run (in chrome://settings/content) however, the video is still not being delivered in Flash, but in HTML5, as indicated by the context menu:
