Flash Player won't stay installed

I go to a web page which requires Flash Player to display some content so I install the latest version and everything runs fine.  The next time I go somewhere that requires the latest version of Flash Player it says that I don't have it installed and that I have to install it for things to be displayed.  I can then install it again and everything will work fine.  But every time I end up on some page that requires Flash Player it tells me again that I don't have it installed and then I have to install it again for things to work.  Why won't my system remember that I already have it installed?  How can I fix this so that I don't have to reinstall it every time I need to use it?

Thanks for the help.

I too am experiencing this problem..... Everyday when I boot up and goto CNN to look at news I have to go  bak and reinstall Adobe FP when I click on a link that requires FP. About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed either my spyware doctor or Avast anti-virus detected "suspicious" activity.... said a program is deleting itself... then the msg promptly vanished before I could make sense of what the msg was telling me. I suspect the msg was about the Adobe FP ... since everytime I try to use it I have to instal it again. The really strange thing is I have not seen that "suspicious activity" msg since that one time I mentioned. But I still have the reinstall issue. If anyone has a solution to this problem I would be greatful for the feedback.... I'm running Vista ultimate if it helps diagnosis.

    Thanks
