Flash Player won't work.

     I know there are other AV8 virus threads but I don't know if I still have a virus or not. One day something came up telling me I have viruses and to fix the problem it wanted me to download the AV8 so i did download it. Once it installed my AVGfree told me I had viruses so it did something with the viruses and then everything went away and I thought the virus was gone. I went to youtube and it told me I needed to ugrade my Flash Player. I have downloaded and installed it. Youtube still says I need to ugrade my flashplayer. What do I do? Do I still have a virus? The only virus program I have is AVGFree. It is not a good program. It usually does not find anything when I run a scan.

        I have Internet Explorer but I don't know what version I have. I have Javascript enabled. My flash player started not working after

    the virus and AV8 thing happened. I have never had problems with installing Flash before. I have had various forms like Shockwave and Air. My AVG free does not find any viruses so I don't know if the virus effected my computer and was delt with or if I still have the virus or if  my Flashplayer problem is something else.
