Sorry to hear you are having trouble. What version of Windows Vista are you using.. 32 bit or 64 bit?

To find out, you can right click on the My Computer Icon in the start menu. If you are running 64 bit version of Windows Vista, there is currently no flash player support. That should become available in the next major release of Flash Player version 11.

You can always download the stand alone offline installer of Flash player. If you do this, be sure to right click the Flash Player installer icon and select Run as Administrator. If you have User Account Control (UAC) turned on, be sure to select accept when prompted.

    Hope this helps.
