Flash Plugin constantly crashing in Firefox

Hi,

Has anyone come across problems playing flash content in Firefox recently and know of a solution?  I have no problems with Flash in Google Chrome it's just Firefox.  This problem has just appeared in the last couple of months, I've had no issues with flash videos until then.

I've updated both Firefox and the Adobe Flash player this morning so I should be working with the lastest versions of both.  I'm also on Windows 7 Pro.  I've also tried un-installing the Flash Player and re-installing the latest version but that didn't seem to help fix the problem.

So far I've done the following from the troubleshooting page Troubleshoot Flash Player games, video, or audio| Windows

Delete all Flash Player browsing data - DONE

Remove Flash Player cache - DONE (Both folders have been deleted)

Disable Flash Player hardware acceleration - CAN'T DO - no such box appears when I right click to disable the hardware acceleration.

Increase the storage limit for a specific website - It's not isolated to a specific website - even the Adobe pages don't work.

Disable RealPlayer functionality - DISABLED

It appears it maybe related to NON HTML5 flash videos as I can playback the HTML5 link (YouTube) without any problems but not the NON HTML5 link from the page Flash Player video playback issues

Adobe quote on that page "If you can see the HTML5 video properly, but can’t see the non-HTML5 video, there may be an issue with Flash Player." - OK Adobe so what is wrong with Flash Player?

I'm going to submit a bug report as they suggest with the required DxDiag.txt file and see what Adobe have to say, but if anyone has come across this issue and knows a solution please let me know.

Thanks,

Keith.

We could definitely make those hardware acceleration instructions are a little confusing.

Go back to that page and right-click inside of the highlighted area in the image below, then choose Settings.

Click the left-most tab, then uncheck Enable Hardware Acceleration.

You'll get a little pop-up menu.  Click the left-most tab (in red, below) and then uncheck Enable Hardware Acceleration (in blue).  Then hit close.

If the problem still persists:

If you're on a 64-bit version of Windows, you should upgrade to 64-bit Firefox.  You'll get a much better experience from Flash and Firefox in terms of stability, performance and security.

If that doesn't help, a crash report should make it pretty clear:

Please see the following guide on how to report a crash or error:
