Flash Plugin Suddenly Not Working in Opera Browser

  • Operating system version: Windows Vista
  • Web browser and version: Opera 36.0.2130.80
  • Flash Player Version: 23 PPAPI
  • My problem: On Wednesday, 9/14, I suddenly could not play any games on Facebook through my Opera browser. Prior to this, nothing was wrong; in fact, I installed Opera several months ago and this is the first-ever issue I'm having with it. I keep getting a "can't load plugin" message and gray screen when I attempt to play any games on Facebook. I did a System Restore on Thursday night and that solved my issue, but only temporarily as tonight, Friday, I am having the same issues again. And Adobe Flash IS listed in my programs as being installed.
  • In terms of troubleshooting, I have:
    • Uninstalled Flash version 23 PPAPI
    • Reinstalled Flash player version 23 PPAPI
    • Uninstalled Opera
    • Reinstalled Opera

    Hi,

There is an issue with Flash Player on Opera on Windows XP/ Vista. We would fix it soon, till then you can download FP version 22.0.0.209 from Archived Adobe Flash Player versions  page.  Download the package fp_22.0.0.209_archive.zip and use the installer file named flashplaye22_0r0_209_winpep.exe. While installing select "Notify me to install updates option" so that Flash Player does not update silently and you dont face the issue untill its fixed.

    Thanks!

Ik heb het zelfde probleem, na de update van Adobe naar versie 23..

    Probleem is alleen bij Opera.

    Explorer en Firefox werken wel
