According to CNET, PCWorld, Adobe's own product alert an-d, this (Adobe) message board, they all have the same or similar security flaw beginning at least with 9.0 and continuing on up to at least 10.1...

I have one of the versions, am afraid to uninstall or upgrade and will not be installing ANY further versions of Adobe Acrobat.

Sounds like the only protection currently available is to maintain an up to date anti- malware program.

To their credit, Adobe does allow and facilitate this site which is far more than can be said about Windows, Apple, etc.

Maybe up to, but not including.

The fix for the issue discussed in this thread

    (http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa10-01.html) was

released for Flash Player on June 10th and for Acrobat / Reader on June

29th. If you are discussing a different issue, please start a new thread.

    Dear Jochem,

Thank you for the update, however, hackers are very clever at perpetuating their schemes in many variety of ways.

Until and unless I see the validity of the "fix" verified by CNET, PC World and/ or at least one reputable expert on the subject, I will stick with my original statement.

If the fix to which you refer is being touted as valid in any of the above mentioned sources, please reference me to it and we'll go from there.

    Sincere thanks again,

    MSchott

P.S. I'd love to work at a help desk for any corporate office.

Hi, Yes you do have the Flash Player, however the 10.1 is a prerelease and is still a "work in progress" This will be the next version of Flash Player when the final release comes out which I don't know yet when that will be.

You can read about it here and if you want to Uninstall 10.1 and Install the shipped version, which is 10.0.45.2, page down until you see Uninstallers.

Thanks. But if I go back to version 10.0 won't I be vulnerable to the security flaw that I've been hearing about?

    June 7, 2010

Hi, I haven't heard about a security flaw in 10. Where did you hear of one?

    Thanks,
