Flash Versions with Time Bomb

Question

We have some manufacturing equipment that is still running in a protected Windows 7 environment that still requires Flash, and in part due to COVID will need to for another 6 months. We have discovered that there are multiple versions of Flash in the environment. (5 years to less than 3 monts old) in this environment.

It is critical for these systems to remain operational and need to know:

1. What version of Flash was the "Time Bomb" placed into the code?

2. If we remove the "Tim Bomb" Version and load an older version will it be "protected" from the Jan 12th "Time Bomb?"

Is this a "Secret" or is there a reason this information can not be provided publically? Manfacturing IT has to continue to support Legacy software and hardware "at all costs" in some cases. Leveraging the older versions, while may be 'insecure' have security issues mitigate in other ways.

Do we need to go through our Sales Representative to get this information? Please provide some assistance here...
