Question

Flash / Win 10 / Edge

I have followed all troubleshooting steps and Flash still does not work with Windows 10 and Edge browser.  When I visit the test page I get a message

"Flash Player is integrated with Microsoft Edge in Windows 10. You do not need to install Flash Player."

When I select "Test Flash Player" I get the following error message

"Flash Player is currently disabled. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below to play Flash content."

The steps describe the procedure to enable flash in the advanced browser settings and even rebooted the computer with no change in symptoms.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

EDGE seems to be flaky for some people and has been an ongoing problem. If you have searched these forums you will see planty of people that have enabled flash, but going to sites it appears to be disabled.

I presume you upgraded your computer, not wiped it, and installed Windows 10 from scratch/ISO?

There is a possible fix that one user came up with, and not sure if it works or not as I have never had any issues with EDGE as I installed Win 10 from scratch.

    It involves the registry.

Possible fix for flash not working in Windows 10 with IE11 and Edge

IF you are not comfortable fooling around with the registry then an easier solution is to use Google Chrome as it has native Flash support.

    Best Regards

Thanks for the suggestion.  It didn't fix the problem on my machine though but it was something I hadn't tried.
