Question

Flash won't load on some websites

I use a website that uses Flash, and the videos haven't loaded for two or three days.

Also, the "The Hill" website (http://thehill.com/video/in-the-news/284665-pathways-to-prevention-continuing-the-conversation) plays sound but not the video.  The Hill seems to use a variety of players.

Most other websites seem to play Flash just fine.

Checking the Flash website, it tells me I'm up to date and flash is running properly (the picture of the tree and clouds).

When I go to the Adobe website and check globals settings, it all looks ok until I get to "Website Privacy settings Panel."

There it kind of goes crazy, looks like it rapidly reloading frames, and then gives me this message:

"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?"

No other tabs are open in Chrome.

Using Chrome/Mac Book Pro 10.10.5, although it doesn't work in Safari either.

Thanks.

I have a similar problem only with Windows 10 and Windows Edge browser. Flash Player is embedded and checks out as it's brand new HP Desktop. NFL Game Pass recordings won't play. When I click on the "Replay" link I get the new window with just a blank black screen that never loads.  Works just fine on my laptop if I delete browser history occasionally. Nothing seems to work on this new Desktop though.

Microsoft has locked Edge and Internet Explorer, and totally controls what/when to update the Flash Player included in those browsers

If you find a site that won't work in IE/Edge, you may need to use a different browser
