Flash won't play video in CNN news, or elsewhere.

Vista, Firefox, newly updated, reloaded.  Flash won't work, not even when asked, screen blank, and then says crashed.

Perhaps so common a problem, there is too much to wade through to find a simple troubleshooting plan.

Can someone lead me to that where?
