Recently did the update to Flashplayer 10.2.1.  Running IE7 [for business software compatibility].  Now every time I run the Flash Player, on exit I get the Flash10p.ocx error.

Fix???

Thanks

    Correct answer

    Flash10p.ocx

    Flash.ocx

    FlashUtil10pg_plugin

    FlashUtil10pg_ActiveX

    FlashUtil10pg_ActiveX.dl

    Shockwave Flash Object

    Flash10p.ocx and it is enabled.

Grr.  As expected, I can't duplicate it at the moment.

Really appreciate you taking time to help me sort this out.

    Steve

Hi, thanks. It appears the conflict is that Flash.ocx file. That doesn't belong there. Close all windows browsers and then right click on that file and delete/remove it. If you get a message that you can't due to Flash being used, etc. just try it again.

If you can't after that, let me know.

Hi, What OS are you using and is it a 32bit or 64bit?  Are you using any other browser(s) and if so what version #'s?

    Thanks,

    Sorry.

OS is WinXP Pro Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600  32 bit.  No other browser.

Thanks, Let's check the Flash files first. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Right click and Open Flash and then post back the files listed. I don't need the contents of any Install logs or text docs. I mention that since I've received these from others.

Then in IE, Tools, Manage addons under "Show"(light text) look in those categories for Shockwave Flash Object. Is it Enabled and what version is listed?

You might just describe what that error says and where it's coming from, i.e., IE/Adobe etc.

    Thanks,
