Add-on Name: Flash9b.ocx consistently causes my Internet Explorer to fail.
OS: Windows XP Professional, Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 (Service Pack 2).
Internet Explorer 7 version 7.0.5730.11 w/Cipher Strength 128-bit.

I'm visiting sites that allow for video viewing. With version 6.0 I did not experience these problems. Could someone please shed some light on what could be going on here.

Hard to say without knowing about every other plug-in you have and other
software / drivers you have running in the background.

For instance, do you have real player or QuickTime installed ? Try
uninstalling them (although Real Player is notorious in the past for being
difficult to remove .. it seem to keep bits of itself in there after
uninstalling). If they don't solve the problem, then you can reinstall
them. See if there are any other extension and add ins and utilities you
have (like download managers .. I know one of those I had installed used to
make edit boxes in IE web pages miss over half of the keystrokes typed,
because it was hooking itself into the keyboard handler for some reason ..
once I determined the cause, I got rid of it and all was well)
