Since upgrading to Flashplayer 9.0.115.0, Firefox 2.0.0.11 is crashing when playing Flash banners. Internet Explorer is not affected.

Specifically this website. Other users in this thread are having the same problem.

Firefox seems to be displaying all my banners correctly at the moment but occasionally it crashes and I have to restart it. Have done all the upgrades but its still doing it!

I had trouble viewing Youtube videos with Firefox in Ubuntu Linux. But with Windows XP or Vista I don't have any problem. When I asked in Ubuntu Forums they said the trouble is with Adobe Flash latest player.

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11 and the Flash banners at the site display correct. During buffering the screen flickers for a split second, but after that everything works well. No need to upgrade I guess.

Visited the site you have problem with, and it was really slowing things down. I turned ON Adblocker and Scriptblocker addons in FF then it was little bit better :D

Great, but please DO open a case. I will be on vacation after Thursday and won't be checking forums (obviously..) I wouldn't want you to slip through the cracks.

Hello.. and a Merry Xmas to you all..

Ive been having this problem for a little while now, specifically with the bbc home page BBC
.. and its Radio1 Site too BBC Radio 1 .. It has been known to crash Safari as well, which actually points the crash towards Flash Player.

I can almost always rectify the problem. Especially when my connection is proxied!

I can supply logs if you'd like?

And the same goes on the BBC radio 3 website. Release 115 of Flash player causes three different browsers to crash. Release 47 is fine. OS X 10.5.1

tgeiges, please open a Flex support case on this as soon as you can. Flex support team will absolutely need to test (and you if you can provide them with the app code or at least access to the app that would be helpful...)

I cannot supply the application yet, I will try to comment out some of the code that submits orders, so that it will not cause issues in accounting, and make sure the crash still happens, I'll try to post the issue soon.

I have a similar issue, on 2 different Macs here with FF 2.0.0.11, and Flash 9.0.115.0 it crashes the browser Every time on a particular Flex app we have written, does not happen in other browsers running the same version of Flash.

To recreate it all I have to do is alt-tab to another app, alt-tab back to firefox, and click a button on the flex app, FF immediately crashes.

I don't see a crash. A bit of a performance hit though, which could be very specific to the content inside that trailer. You should get in touch with the Eve support team to have them look to their ad developers for possible solutions..

The 'bit of a performanance hit' makes my browser hang for over a minute. I'm running vista on a X2 5000+ with 2GB ram. So that shouldn't really have problem with displaying a flash banner. This problem never occured with older versions off the flash player. Something is really borked....
