flashplayer fails at 51%

Question

I am running a macbook pro 2013 retina unit operating on El Capitan 10.11.6.  I have tried to install flashplayer several time and have quit out of all anti-virus software, but each time the installation quits soon after 50%.  I have selcted Mac OS X 10.6 - 10.12 from their website which includes for my version but all the time fails.  Any suggestions on how to get a working version installed !?  I have also tried on chrome as well as safari but the same thing happens.

Hi alex.sync​, In order to troubleshoot the failure, I'll need to get the install log files from you. Please read through the FAQ Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on the Macintosh? and configure your system to obtain the log files as per the instructions. Run the installer again. When it fails, click the yellow button to close the installer dialog window. Collect the log files (FlashPlayerInstallManager.log, install.log, Adobe_ADM.log, and Adobe_GDE.log) and upload them to cloud.acrobat.com/send using the instructions at How to share a document and post the link to the uploaded files in your reply.Thank you.--Maria
