Flashplayer not working in Explorer

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate, and Internet Explorer 11

In summary, I only started having problems after applying the most recent Microsoft security updates earlier this week. Suddenly, when I try to view any of my normal videos in Explorer, from news pages, facebook etc there is a banner saying 'SORRY, You need to install Flashplayer, I check my add-ons and it says Flashplayer already installed and enabled. Yet the adobe troubleshooter/help says there is no Flashplayer installed. I installed Flashplayer again successfully, rebooted and still get the same messages and results. I installed once again to make sure it wasn't a fluke and results the same, gone again after reboot.

The problem is only occurring in Explorer, Chrome and Firefox both working fine.

    Hi,

Please check to see that ActiveX Filtering is disabled (see ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer).  If it is disabled, and the issue only started happening after applying Microsoft updates, then one of the updates is the culprit.  I'd uninstall all updates installed this week and then install each one individually until you can reproduce the error to identify which Microsoft update is the culprit.
