Hi All

I am using Opera 36 on a Vista 32bit platform

ADM patch has been installed as per troubleshooting page

Flashplayer 23 still does not work, does not play videos etc..   Error message is "Could not load plug in"

I have gone through all steps of the Adobe troubleshooting page.

Anything I can try now?

Many thanks.

Hi,

On Opera36 we have an issue with the latest Flash Player release XP/Vista: Flash PPAPI plugin 23.0.0.162 doesn't work in Opera and Chromium.

You can download the previous Flash Player version(22.0.0.209) from the Archived Adobe Flash Player versions  page.  Download the package fp_22.0.0.209_archive.zip and extract the contents and go into the 22.0.0.209 folder. Install the Flash Player named flashplayer22_0r0_209_winpep.exe for Opera browser. While installing select "Notify me to install updates" so that you do not run into the same issue again till it is fixed.

Thanks!

Hi Ridhijain

Many thanks for looking into this and for your help. .   This did the trick - I uninstalled version 23 and then re-installed version 22 as directed.

Thanks :

The bug in 23.0.0.162 is fixed in the next version of Flash Player, which is scheduled for release tomorrow (barring any unforeseen issues).  Since you reverted to a previous version with known security vulnerabilities you'll want to update to the next version after it is released.   The version number on the http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ will be updated after the release.  You can check this page tomorrow to see if the new version has been released.
