I AM TRYING TO INSTALL FLASHPLAYER ON OS X 10. 9.5- I GET TO THE POINT WHERE IT ASKS FOR MY PASSWORD...I HAVE UPDATED IT AND IT STILL WON'T 'TAKE'?????

I have the same problem with my OS X 10.9.5.  I also updated my password and still won't accept it to update Flashplayer!!
