FP 11 Camera Settings not show Firewire Camera

I upgraded to FP11 a few weeks agao and since then the FP Settings do no show my Firewire camera as an option. It DID show before the upgrade and I used it all the time. As you can see below the only options are Buit-in iSight and Display iSight. Before the upgrade there was an option for DV-VCR as in the Skype preferences below. As you can see my Firewire camera is connected and working as Skype can see and use it.

I am on MacBook Pro Snow Leopard.

  • Mac OS 10.6.8 (64-bit).
  • Flash Player Version: 11.1.102.55

Here is the screenshot of the Skype camera settings showing the DV-VCR Camera

Appreciate any help here because the iSight cameras suck and also the Logitech HD webcam I have also sucks as for some reason when used in Flash it deosn't record or show in HD, even though it does show and work in HD mode in the logitech webcam app.

Go figure .

Thanks

    Hello arllc,

Did you find any solution or workaround for this issue. I have the same problem. Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) with flash player 11.2 and a firewire camera. Skype detects it, flash player not. If I downgrade to flash player 10.3, it's detected.

    Thanks
