Freezes when playing Flash-content

Last year decided to buy a new PC.

Chose the following configuration:

Intel Core i5 4570;

8 GB RAM (2 modules of 4 GB);

GTX 970 (GIGABYTE)

I collected and connected. In general, the system is running fine, except for one thing – there are problems when playing online video in flash (freezes). When viewing videos directly from the hard disk of the computer or in HTML5 – there are no problems, the video plays good, without interruptions and deadlock.

I updated Flash Player (with cleaning of all the remaining files and registry branches), the video card drivers and codecs are of the latest versions.

It doesn’t matter which browser to use: the video lags in IE, and Google Chrome, and Firefox, Opera. Enabling/disabling of hardware acceleration is meaningless too.

I enabled/disabled the built-in flash player, set Adobe - alas ...

One more moment: it is more or less possible to watch video with “prehistoric” monitor with a resolution of 1280x1024, but with a resolution of 1920x1080 – almost impossible.

It is ridiculous to believe that such configuration can not cope with ordinary video in flash.

I would not say that the processor is "full" to the maximum, and the core memory is not used very much. During inactive time it can show 0%, when viewing video - 5-10%, not more. But when rewinding FullHD (1080p) video on YouTube - processor shows 22%, and it is strange.

The power plan is "High Performance", all the parameters are by default (with the exception of turning off the display and entering the PC into sleep mode).

And I noticed one more interesting thing: the higher the refresh rate of the display, the less noticeable freezes. With 75 Hz the picture is smoother than with 60 Hz.

With the old configuration (Athlon 64 4000+ (1 core), video card ATI Radeon HD4670 1 GB, 3 GB RAM) there was no such problem neither with the refresh rate of 60 Hz nor 75 Hz.

During four months there were many updates of Google Chrome, Adobe Flash Player, K-Lite Codec Pack, as well as updates of the operating system, and so on. But, alas, it does not affect the solution of my problem.

The operating system was reinstalled for many times (the original Windows 7 MSDN and the test (at that time) Windows 10) - but it did not help.

Then I decided that there was a defect of some component in the computer, and as the computer was in warranty, it was not a big problem to change the components.

In the shop the managers couldn’t explain the reason of the problem but simply offered to replace on a similar system unit or on any other configuration.

As a result, I decided to collect other configuration:

Processor: Intel Core i5 4690 OEM;

Motherboard: ASUS B85-PLUS;

Hard disk: Wenstern Digital WD10EZEX;

Memory: 2048MB DDR3 Patriot PC-12800 (4 pcs.);

Video card: 2048MB GDDR5 Radeon R9 285 (OC) Sapphire (11235-03-20G);

Power supply: 600W Chieftec GPS-600A8

Gathered, didn’t touch BIOS, installed the operating system (Windows 7 x64), all the necessary drivers and software codecs.

Twitching of flash video remains.

I waited for the official release of Windows 10 - set CLEAN (didn’t update). Also: all drivers, software and so on - the problem remains.

So the problem remains urgent. And the reason of twitching / brakes of the video, in my opinion, is:

1) Either the processor cannot handle, supposedly, it is the problem of Haswell (specifically i5);

2) Either it is the problem of the Adobe Flash Player (as the video playback from the hard drive, as well as in HTML5 goes without problems).

1. P.S. By the way, a friend has i5 3570K – there are lags;

The other familiar has the laptop with processor i5-480M - there are lags.

So, I believe only the owners of i5 has the problem...

Actually, do you have such problem and how it can be solved?
