Given that your issue is fundamentally different than the thread you posted in, and likely has a different root cause, I've opened a new thread so that we can have a more focused conversation constrained to AppleTV mirroring.

Just so that I'm clear, you don't actually see this problem when watching video on the Mac or with an external monitor attached to the laptop itself, right?
