Games stuttering, chopping and freezing

Games played on facebook are almost impossible to play due to the constant choppiness and stuttering. Everything seems to be updated and current, and I have found no issues. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening ?

What browser and operating system are you using?

I was using Explorer but just switched to Google Chrome. Issue in both. OS is vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Someone told me it was all due to my flash player, so I am assuming that it might be the issue, unless you know of something else that can cause that.
