Green videoscreen in after upgrade to Flash 10.1

After upgrading to version 10.1 I am unable to view any video; sound comes through fine, but the video image remains a vivid green! The video still (as in YouTube) shows just fine, but as soon as I click the play button just a green 'screen'. I recently updated my ATI Radeon 5xxx series driver.

I uninstalled Flash, restarted the laptop and then reinstalled it again. No improvement ...

Anyone have the same problem or know how to proceed to solve this? Thanks.

Regards,

Pauline

Hi, thanks for the info, sorry turning off the h.a. didn't take care of it. Do you remember if you Updated Flash Player first and THEN the Driver, or vice versa?

I suspect it is the driver since there seems to be issues with certain Radeon series and green screens.

Pat is more experienced about drivers than I, so he may have advice on that.

    Thanks,

Hi, You may want to go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.

This is helpful for many users.

Which did you do first, upgrade your driver or Install Flash Player to the latest version?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Thanks both for your quick response!

I had already disabled the hardware acceleration, which did not change anything.

My laptop is running Windows 7 (64bit), Windows Explorer 9 and Flashplayer 10.1.102.64.

Even the Firefox (3.6.13) version of the Flashplayer (10.1.102.64) shows the same green videoscreen.

Hope the above info is of any use.

    Kind regards,

    Pauline

Try disabling Hardware Acceleration (Flash Player Settings).

If you need more help, please give us your operating system & version and browser & version.  Also your full Flash Player version.
