Hangs up on "close IE".

Question

When I close IE (as instructed), installer does not automatically continue, and it keeps telling me to close IE. How do I get past this? I've tried downloading the installer to desktop, closing IE, and running installer from desktop, but it reaches the same hangup. How do I get past this, please?

Can you try rebooting to see if that clears IE from memory? If that doesn't work, please take a look at your task manager and see if IE is running. You could also be running into a case where another application is using IE to display html, sometimes this occurs with Skype and other utilities.
