Has anyone solved the issue of Flash Player not working/enabling in Microsoft Edge?

I've done basic research on the internet and in these forums, contacted Windows support, but still no decent answers.

Microsoft says uninstall and reinstall.

Adobe site offers no real help. "Flash is embedded in Edge. Just turn it on!" First, you'll need to test the player with this button. Wait... Flash is not installed! You want to download it? Sure... let me redirect you to this page where you can test if Flash Player is installed. "Flash is embedded in Edge. Just turn it on!" First, you'll need to test the player with this button. Wait... Flash is not installed! (and so on, and so on ...)

Thanks Maria,

The problematic page is the page you are directing me to. I understand that Flash is embedded in Edge. I understand how to enable Flash in Edge.

I don't understand why I can load a webpage with a flash object using Internet Explorer but the same webpage loaded in Edge brings up an error saying I don't have Flash or the correct version.

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

Internet Explorer 11 and Edge introduce a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.
