Question

HBO GO stutter

My hardware:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.20 GHz

ATI Radeon HD 5570

2GB RAM

Trying to play HBO GO using that is absolutely terrible in chrome/IE. I overclocked the CPU to 2.94 GHz and playback is definitely better, but every two seconds or so the video stutters very briefly and it's extremely annoying. Hardware acceleration is enabled. Total RAM used during playback is 1.33GB. CPU stays between 25-50%. I've disabled C1E in the BIOS and set the minimum processor speed to 100% in power options. I have the latest version of Flash.

I'm debating upgrading my hardware. It seems kind of annoying to do it since I don't have this issue with youtube/html5. What should I do? Thanks.

I overclocked my CPU to 2.96Ghz, upgraded my RAM to 4gb, installed Windows 7 64-bit (was on 32-bit), and now it plays fairly smoothly. I'll know for sure how well when I watch something on my projector.
