Hello everyone. hoping someone can help me out. I bought a new macbookpro a couple of months ago. It was working fine. ... I could watch video etc and all of the sudden it's not allowing me to anymore. I can't watch youtube or anything it says i need to install adobe flash player. I have installed it like 5 times and it doesn't stick! it keeps saying download and install now.

any idea what is happening? and how it can be resolved. Clearly there is a plug in issue. In my internet plugins folder for my mac it shows that the plug ins are there but ??? what is going on. Please help

Thanks

Hi, you need to Uninstall the version you had on your system before Installing the new version. Follow the instructions here for your version of your operating system:

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Then go to this site to Install for your operating system. Uncheck the google toolbar(offered in 2 places) if you don't want it. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi eidnolb

Thanks for the heads up. I tried what you suggested and it still is not working. Any other thoughts on why it is not installing? suggestions on what to do?

    Thanks so much

Hi, If you Uninstalled and Installed, then go to this Adobe test site and see if you can see the animation. It should also give you the version of Flash Player that is Installed.

    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I don't know where all of the Flash files are located in Macs since I'm not familiar with that OS. Now there should also be an add on or plug-in SWF vs 10.1.53.64 that should be listed and Enabled. This  works with the Flash Player files. I was able to tell you what I know about Uninstalling and Installing and not too much more. We sometimes have a helper that knows about Macs but don't see them on the forum this evening.

I wish we did have more helpers for the Macs. Perhaps someone will see your macbook thread and reply and be able to help.

    Thanks,
