I have attempted to install Flash Player so many times I can't even say. I have Windows Vista 32- and I'm using Internet Explorer. I've used the adobe uninstaller, I've deleted everything everywhere I could find that dealt with adobe and adobe flash and have re-installed. I continue to get the following error messages and have been unable to locate a real solution anywhere. Please Please help!!

"Could not retreive ProgID of Class: MSXML2.XSL Template 3.0 (original exception undefined)

Hi, did you check for your listings of MSXML to see if you have the latest updates?

Here is a link to a forum from Microsoft/Vista:

On your Norton Security, first I would go to AVG and get the free Anti-Virus and download it and put it on your desktop.

Don't install it until you do the following:

Now, I have also read that this "error" appears and seems to have something to do with Norton Security. You do have

a very old version. My suggestion: Use this Removal Tool http://service1.symantec.com/Support/ts ... 3108162039

To Remove Norton, you first go to Add/Remove and Remove from there and Reboot. Then go to that link and follow the info for your version of Norton that you have installed.

After this is Uninstalled, Reboot and Download the AVG anti-virus from your Desktop and install all definitions.

That is my advice for you.

Also, deagogo, you need to learn to search for whatever your problems are. www.bing.com is the search engine by Microsoft and since you have a Windows computer that is what I would use to search for anything, especially Microsoft related. Google isn't interested in Microsoft

    Hope you get this resolved.

    Thanks,

P.S. Be careful where you get your advice from there are bad guys out there and they visit the forums, even this one.

Just a word to the wise......

Thanks for you advice. I have done research on all of these for the past 3 weeks an nothing has helped which is what ended me here. Now, I won't bother you anymore. I appreciate what you had to offer. Have a wonderful day!

Hi d, It is a busy place here  What I would like for you to do is let me know what version of Internet Explorer you are using. Go up to the top of your browser and click on Help and click on About Internet Explorer.

Do you remember when you received that error that you listed? Was it when you were trying to Uninstall, or when you

were trying to Install? Or if it was not either of those times, exactly when/what you were doing?

What Anti-Virus program do you use?

Go down to the area(system tray) where the clock is and where the time is showing, right click on it and when the window

opens, click on Adjust Date/Time. When that window opens, post back and tell me what you saw.

    Thanks,

Hey- thanks for getting to me!!

    Internet Explorerer 8

The error happens when I install. After the download is complete and I close the download manager and go to the c drive to perform the run as administrator steps...anytime I enter the adobe site again..that's the message I recieve.

I am using Product Name: Norton Security Suite Version: 3.8.0.41 for antivirus.7:57- Eastern Time- hope that's what you needed.

I know that I do have likr 4 driver errors and haven't been able to find a solution to those either- not sure if that has anything to do with this or not. But when I do run the diagnostic report- there are like 4 that are not working properly but state they have the most up to date informaiton.\
