Question

Help please? Static audio, Crashes, ActionScript Errors and more issues with Flash Player 16

So, this is the first time I'm posting in here and I'm sorry if I mess up or smth.

Anyway, this is what happened:

- Firefox tells me Flash Player 15 is vulnerable

- I update to the newest version

- After the update I run into several things that are highly annoying.

First of all:

- I can't watch any livestreams anymore, neither on picarto nor on twitch. The video keeps loading and buffering, then works for a second or two and then goes back to buffering OR alternatively the video would stop whilst the sound continues or vice versa. (My wifi connection is super fast and I never had any problems until the update)

- On youtube videos only load for a second or two, then the audio vanishes and the video crashes. (Never had that issue before, EVER)

- The audio is incredibly wonky, aka, depending on the bass or sounds I hear static noises and weird sounds. (This only happens on videos that require flash, the sound is fine when playing CDs )

- When watching videos and pausing it or going back a few seconds to rewatch something, the audio suddenly is completely gone.

- Flash player crashes A LOT

EDIT: Another Issue appeared:

- When watchign videos using the Blip player (used by some websites) I get ActionScript errors which then result in crashes

I'm using:

Packard Bell EasyNoteLS

Windows 7 Home Premium

Firefox 34.0.5

Adobe/Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.235

What I've tried to do:

- revert back to an older version of Flash (but it kept telling me to update so I gave up on it)

- Try to enable "hardware accelaration" BUT, when right clicking on the Flash Symbol on Adobe's site FF freezes and tells me that Flash player crashed

- Found out that I already have hardware accelaration enabled and it still keeps crashing

- I deleted all of its local cache

- downloaded and installed the debug version

But none of it helped in the slightest.

I really hope someone can help me fix this OR that adobe soon comes with a patch/update that fixes all these things ;_____;

Thanks for reading and helping!

It looks like you're using the ActionScript debugger instead of the regular Flash Player.  We do not recommend that you browse the web with the debugger.  It's very slow compared to the standard release player and we have different stability standard for it.

You can uninstall the debugger here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Then download the regular player, here:

Internet Explorer:

Firefox and other NPAPI browsers:

I have installed the latest version of flashplayer, and have ben unable to use it since, I have tried IE and firefox. I have tries to use the link above and it won't let me install and tells me that I have the latest version already. the program crashes in firefox, locks up my pages in IE, and simply willnot work. Is there a fix or an alternative that I can use. I'm running Windows 7

You all need to roll back to version 15 of flash player. Ive said how to do it in chrome. I dont use firefox. Find where to download the old version. disable your new version. install old version.

I also have issues with Adobe Flash Player 16 and rolling back to the version 15 of Flash Player did not solve any of these problems unfortunately.

Flash keeps telling me to update and even if I ignore it, the video's still won't work properly.

I guess we'll just have to wait until they fix this problem somehow..

That's a bother. >_<

I'll just sit here and wait for them to either fix it or for version 17 to be out *sighs*.

I just feel annoyed that they don't seem to fix any problems whatsoever, just make it worse over time ....

I know your struggle and I really don't want to switch to Chrome because I really like firefox :/ (EDIT: I have the same errors in Chrome so it doesn't make a difference ugh )

Also, I noticed that these issues occur more often when using a fast wifi connection?

I've been at my parent's place the past 2 weeks and their wifi is... not great (videos in max 360p and a long time of buffering) BUT I barely had any audio problems, now that I'm back in my appartment where I have a very fast connection and can watch videos without buffer in 720p I have these issues more often.

So, now I wonder, is Flash/firefox simply too slow to keep up with the videos and the speed of my wifi and thus crashes, or it is just a weird coincidence?

Signed up to reply. Version 16 causes the same problems for me.

1 pull up chrome settings

2 click extensions

3 in the url bar change extensions to plugins

4 find the flash player section, mine currently has 3 files 16, 16 "debug", & 15

5 "disable" 16, 16 debug, enable 15 I even clicked "always allow"

6 Ive gotten the update reminder I ignore it.

ADOBE FIX PLEASE
