Question

How can I force ALL YouTube videos to play using Flash Player in Chrome?

Before an accidental forced shutdown in my PC, all videos in YouTube are played in the Flash Player. I forced it by joining in then leaving out of the HTML5 Beta Test by YouTube when it changed some videos to HTML5 before. Then, when my PC crashed, I got the problem back again. The HTML5 trick doesn't work anymore, nor does erasing cookies and cache in the Chrome browser. In Firefox, Flash is default.

This is really frustrating, as I use Magic Actions for YouTube extension in Chrome so I have more control on watching YT videos. I disabled all extensions and it's still a problem. I want to force it all to Flash. Unfortunately, I can't find any solution in the web. They all say the HTML5 trick and deleting the cookies and cache.

For Chrome: YouTube™ Flash-HTML5 - Chrome Web Store

Opera similar,

Firefox: have also addon, but not needed !

Firefox is enough to go in about:config, type: webm

and

HTML5 Disable

media.webm.enabled true will play only,  html5 false will force flash

- It will force flash to be used, with YouTube displeasure, shows short on beginning as " Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available." , but it will play !!!

Hope that's help many, because YouTube behaviour  in last time (hating Flash player) is hard to understand, strange and unaccountably !!!

Adobe developers: Do something about this issue !!! There is lot of as who love and prefer Flash player !!!

Forcing HTML5 is done using a cookie, so resetting all cookies from YouTube should have done the trick. But now, YouTube is forcing HTML5 in chrome . That means cookie or no cookie, you will get only HTML5 player in chrome. If you want to disable that, you need to use some extensions. Here's details on doing that -
