Running Firefox, whenever I tried to instal Adobe Flash Player, mid-instal I was told to close Mozilla.  This brings everything to a halt including aborting the installation.  How can I instal while running Firefox?

My browser is Firefox 44 on Windows 10.

Hi,

If you currently do not have Flash Player installed, or are upgrading from one version to another, Flash Player does not require Firefox to be closed to complete installation.  At some point you would need to refresh the browser window to load the newly installer version.

If you already have Flash Player installed, and for some reason are re-installing the same version, then the browser must be closed for the Flash Player files to be replaced.  Firefox loads the plugins and a file in use cannot be deleted, therefore, requiring the browser to be terminated.
