How do I fix the "allow third party flash content" problem for Adobe Flash Player 10?

So I'm having a bit of a problem with my flash player. I go to Pandora.com and it says "The Flash Player storage is currently disabled and must be enabled to use Pandora" So I go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html and try to checkbox the "Allow third-party flash content to store data on your computer." When I try to check it, it just stays greyed out. Doesn't check it. How do I fix this? I saw somewhere that I had to allow permission? Or delete AppData (Not sure where it's at though I tried looking for it but I don't see any folder in AppData that has Adobe/Macromedia)? Not sure though. Can anyone help me out? I'm using Windows 7 x64 and Google Chrome. (Oh and Chrome isn't the problem because I've tried it on IE as well)

Alienware m11x
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Flash Player 10.2.154.12

Okay so I searched around and maybe my user name on Windows 7 is causing this? It's .ex. I changed it to just "ex" but in C:\Users it's still named .ex. How do I change it? I tried changing it cmd line as admin but it said access is denied.

Oh, I remember many problems in the past with user names starting with a period.

I don't know about the user profile; if it is changed automatically, or if you have to create a new one manually.

If you get an access denied error trying to rename it, you may need to change the permissions.

Same problem here on OS X. Tried the latest Flash Player as the Square one. Both Settings Managers don't change settings.

    Any solutions?

Well my problem was due to a period beginning in my username. I removed it and it worked fine. But.. for Mac OS I think I saw somewhere that you have to delete your Libraries/Macromedia or Libraries/Adobe somewhere in your files. Delete the cache? Not sure though >_<

Open Windows Explorer and type %appdata%\Adobe into the address bar.  Do you have a 'Flash Player' folder in there?  Delete it, then do the same in %appdata%\Macromedia

There is no folder called Macromedia or Adobe anywhere in my %appdata% folder =/

Do you have any other subfolders in %APPDATA%?  Perhaps the permissions are incorrect in yor %APPDATA%?
