How Do I Get Rid Annoying Flash Ads

This started happening when I updated Flash this morning, and it's INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. I'm using Internet Explorer 9. I've read that I should download FireFox and a certain add-on. But is that the only way? I want to actually get rid of this problem. Please help!
