Question

How do I set a Mac to "allow adobe to install updates" without having to enter an admin password?

I admin a bunch of Macs and I'm constantly getting complaints from the users that Flash installer icons build up on their desktop.  The only way to get rid of them is to call me to put in the admin password to throw them in the trash.   I have each machine's Flash plugin setting to "Allow Adobe to install updates" so they are always on the latest Flash version.  Any help would be appreciated!

How are you distributing and running the installers?

You might find the section on using the PKG installer for Mac in the System Administrator's Guide helpful, pp.26:

When I set up each machine as brand new, I download the Flash Player, install it and then set it to "Allow Adobe to install updates" from there on out.  We do not have a server that does this.  Just me!
