How do I stop the link hover status bar from showing in Flash Player full screen mode in Google Chrome?

When trying to watch a video in fullscreen mode in Google Chrome, the link hover status bar is now showing in the bottom left corner of the screen and blocks access to at least 1/3 of the time bar. How do I get this to vanish?
