How do I successfully download and install the newest version of adobe flash?

I have been trying to update to the newest version of adobe flash for a couple days now and continue to have 0 luck. I have even tried completely wiping adobe flash's old version off my system and start with a new fresh start, but that still didn't work. I click newest version of adobe flash on the update screen and then it goes to my downloads. I think precede to click on it and put in my password to download and install on my computer. Ever ytime without fail, the downloading window will freeze and get stuck on 30%. I do I get by this. I have a lot of school work to do and I need flash for all of it. So it's kind of necessary that this gets resolved in a very timely manor. Thanks!
