How do you download an earlier version of Flash Player form the download center?

Question

Since updating my flash player to version 12.0.0.77, my video freezes. I watch tennis on watch ESPN 3. After days of trying ESPN 3 video troubleshooter, settings on flash player, and a host of "if this do this," the problem still exists. I uninstalled flash player from my computer, and tried to reinstall it. The download center lists my computer as Windows XP x86 32bit. I have IE 8 as a browser. Thus the download center wants me to download version 12.0.0.77(latest version) of flash player. Checking the system requirements one needs a 2.33Ghz cpu and blah, blah. My Toshiba Equium 7100D(circa 2003) has a 550Mhz Celleron cpu.

So the 64 dollar question is, What version of flash player should I have installed in my computer? Then where do I go to install it, since the download center is stuck in latest version?

You've got yourself a double edged sword:

1. Older versions will not run, or will run very poorly if they do, on sites with updated code, such as ESPN. You cannot change that, as it's in the page code at the site.

2. You performance issues will get worse with time as that processor (and system) is nowhere near what it should be for viewing content (mostly HD) on today's Internet. Even the cheapest of cell phones has EIGHT TIMES the processor and likely four to eight times the RAM at three or four times the bus speed. Basically, you're trying to tow a car with a bicycle.

That may seem like a rude assessment, but it's accurate... so please don't attack the messenger.
