Question

How to delete Macromed Flash Util?

I keep receiving a very annoying window that says:  " A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer. This program does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher. Name: C:/windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/FlashUtil_Active X. exe

Publisher: Microsoft Windows Third Party Application Component  ....   YES      NO"

I keep clicking NO, but it doesn't work, it shows up again, also if I click YES.

It is quite annoying because every couple of seconds it shows-up interrupting whatever you are doing.

PLEASE help me to unistall this program.

Thanks

Welcome to the wonderful world of "Let us protect you from yourself" Microstuff Internet Exploder (with 1993's ActiveX controls).

    Here's the deal.

If you uninstall Macromed/FlashUtil_ActiveX.exe, then you HAVE NO FLASH PLAYER, and things like YouTube, Pogo, News sites, Facebook and a bunch of other stuff won't work.
Okay, YouTube will... but that's because they've updated their content to HTML5 which doesn't require Flash Player to run. But, most other stuff will tell you to "Install Flash Player to view this content".

What you can do is Disable ActiveX filtering... IF you have IE 9 or newer. That may or may not help.

Or... you can free yourself from the worst browsser in all of computing and use something that doesn't rely on technology that's "old enough to get in bars"...

    Firefox (from Mozilla)

    Opera (from Opera)

    Safari (from Apple)

    Chrome (from Google)

ANY of those will work better than IE, when you install the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
