I am downloading Flash Player but nothing is happening

Youtube is telling me that I need to update Adobe Flash Player or I can't watch the videos. I have been following the process step by step.  I "click here" to download, save it, double click on it, run it, and then I am told to close Firefox to complete.  I close Firefox and it says "Installation complete".  I load up Firefox again and it says "your installation was successful".  Then I go back to youtube and I still can't watch the videos and it still tells me I need to update by Adobe Flash Player even though I just did it and it told me it was successful.  Please help.  Thank you.

I have the same problem but I have: Windows 7 and Safari, 64bit. I've been having this problem for a while but it did not bother me much until I got another problem: I can't download the upgrade version of Photoshop Elements 10.

Flash Player 10 does not have a 64-bit version.

Only the 32-bit Flash Player (10 or 11) can be installed on Windows XP.

What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
